The election day of the Municipalities Elections In the framework of the Democratic Watch in the Egyptian Association for Community Participation, the Watch follows the election day of the Municipalities Elections run in the ARE. After the follow-up of the nomination for elections, challenging and electioneering, the Watch has issued 4 reports, The present elections supposed to run two years ago, i.e. in 2006, they were postponed until the approval of a new law, but it has been hindered until the issuance of the presidential decree number 55 of 2008 dated 17/2/2008 inviting electors to vote for municipalities members in accordance to the Practice of Political Rights Act and the law of local administration system issued in law number 43 of 1979. |

Annual report on the situation of democracy in 2007 The Democracy Status Watch began its activities in this respect with field observations of both presidential and parliamentary elections made in 2005 in the three phases of the latter one. It published two studies on these elections. It also observed the elections of labor unions, professional syndicates, political parties, chambers of commerce, industries unions, student unions, university faculty, sport clubs, religious organizations, etc. The EACPE found out trucial need for watching and monitoring elections in Egypt.

فى اطار انشطة مرصد حالة الديمقراطية بالجمعية المصرية للنهوض بالمشاركة المجتمعية تابع المرصد أعمال الجمعية العمومية لحزب الجبهة الديمقراطية التى انعقدت يوم الجمعة 28 مارس 2008 بالساحة المملوكة لنادى القضاة بمنطقة وسط البلد والتى كان منوط بها اختيار رئيسا للحزب، ونائب أول لرئيس الحزب، وثلاثة نواب للرئيس، وامينا عاما، واميناً عاماً مساعداً.
